TM Announces Consistent Revenue For 1H

Telekom Malaysia has a tagline to accelerate growth in becoming the nations digital convergence provider and its called “Perfexe 10”, a  business plan that will focus on both external and internal strategies.

Speaking during the mid year performance report, Dato’ Sri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM unveiled the group’s new execution approach. “We are accelerating our execution to expedite our strategic goals of Deliver Convergence and Go Digital via our new approach, “Perfexe 10”. After recording another steady half posting revenue of RM5.94 billion compared to RM5.9 billion the previous year, TM is focused on internal rewiring especially on daily operations to optimise processes and productivity.

Fiber rollout will still be an ongoing investments, untapped targets like high-rise buildings will be now given more attention.  On the business front, the Managed Accounts will be consolidated into “TM One”,  for enterprises and the public sector to have a clearer definetion on what the telco is offering.

Shazali also highlights the need to improve manpower productivity by exploring workforce management as the group continues to expand its broadband footprint nationwide. To date, TM has over 2.7 million
high speed broadband ports nationwide and its LTE coverage has expanded with coverage now at
more than 80% in major cities.
