MAN Service Brings The Workshop To Customers

MAN Truck and Bus (MAN) will be bringing mobile service workshops to the customers’ doorstep instead of having them bring their vehicles to the standard workshops for service and maintenance.

Thayalan Subramaniam, Head of After Sales, MAN Truck and Bus (M) Sdn Bhd with MAN’s customers: Chong Zheng Wei, Managing Director of CCL Timber (M) Sdn Bhd and Yew Choo Kein from Syarikat Jasa Selamat Sdn Bhd, and with MAN’s diagnostic specialist, Muhammad Faiz Hasbullah.

Thayalan Subramaniam, Head of After Sales, MAN Truck and Bus (M) Sdn Bhd says: “This is an ideal option for some of our customers who do not have regular access to service workshops due to their location or other factors. With our mobile workshops, they can save time and cost while the service is being done at their facility. This will ultimately improve uptime and overall productivity.”

With the flexibility that mobile workshops offer, fleet operators enjoy minimal disruption to their operations, as the vehicles are normally not in use during that period. The 18-tonne service trucks also acts as a mobile warehouse for spare parts, and is also well-stocked with lubricants, filters and other items used for repairs and the 20,000km interval service.

In addition to the mobile service workshops, MAN also provides a breakdown service for trucks and buses that is on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year that is catered for breakdowns, known as Mobile24. Currently, MAN has a fleet of eight vehicles constantly on standby to provide breakdown repairs and roadside assistance.
