Honeywell has been awarded a US$14 million (RM56 million) multi-year project for the supply of smart buildings technologies (i.e. complete security and building management systems) to the Iconic PNB 118 Tower.
Located within the Warisan Merdeka development, the 118-storey iconic landmark is set to become the fifth tallest building in the world upon completion in 2020.
PNB 118 is owned by PNB Merdeka Ventures Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB), with Turner International Sdn Bhd as the project manager for the mixed-use development.
Commencing in late 2017 with completion in late 2020, the project includes the installation, testing and commissioning of Honeywell’s connected buildings systems.
Honeywell’s solutions will help provide operational intelligence for better decision making, improve real-time response, reduce risk and operational and life-cycle costs, and optimise overall building performance.
“We have a track record of providing connected building solutions to more than 10 million buildings around the world,” enthuses Briand Greer, ASEAN President of Honeywell. “In Asia, we are committed to bringing together knowledge, people, and technology that turn buildings into smarter and productive assets.”
Honeywell has been present in Malaysia for more than four decades where it has established its regional headquarters and is supporting the connected building industry in the country.
