MALAYSIA’S MOST TRUSTED BRANDS IN 2018 REVEALED

Malaysia’s most trusted brands and household names celebrates the 20th anniversary of the annual Reader’s Digest Trusted Brands Awards. Over 2,000 people in Malaysia, both members of the public and Reader’s Digest subscribers, participated in the study, providing a genuine market endorsement for those topping the polls. Thousands of consumers across Asia – including Malaysia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and the Philippines – were surveyed by leading market research company Catalyst on their attitudes and perceptions of brands across 50 categories of products and services.

Gold Trusted Brand Awards were given to products and services that led the polls in their fields, while Platinum Trusted Brand Awards, recognised brands that vastly outpolled their competition. Winning brands in Malaysia were a mix of local and international names such as King Koil, Marigold, SP Setia, Knife, Canon, Yun Nam Hair Care, Kleenex and Maybank.

Australian Reader’s Digest Group Editor, Louise Waterson says, “Trust is built on quality, consistency, honesty and delivering on your promise. It matters, and it means
you have secured a hard-fought and well-deserved competitive advantage in this day and age.”

APAC Reader’s Digest Advertising & Retail Director, Sheron White adds, “It’s amazing to see how many international brands have proudly displayed the Reader’s Digest Trusted
Brands ‘Trustmark’ over the years. This is testament to the importance the ‘Trustmark’ holds in market,
and just how much the people of Malaysia value the Trustmark logo.”
