Vertiv recently held its annual Channel Summit, with over 200 partners and distributors across the region in attendance. The event was held at the Grand Copthorne Waterfront in Singapore on October 8th to 10th.
With the theme, “Get the Edge,” this year’s conference focused on market opportunities and use cases for edge computing, as well as highlighted key Vertiv solutions and technologies that would support the edge. In particular, the conference showcased Vertiv’s entire portfolio of micro data center offerings, including the SmartCabinet™ and SmartRow™. These solutions integrate power, cooling and monitoring in an integrated solution, providing ease of management for a wide variety of edge applications across the Asia Pacific region.
“Edge computing is one of the fastest growing markets in Asia. This year’s conference aimed to provide our valued partners with the right tools to equip them to address this trend and to better address their customers’ needs,” said Daniel Sim, senior director for channel business in Vertiv Asia.
Keynote speakers include Charles Ong, solutions strategy lead for Dell in Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China, as well as Irza Suprapto from Asia IoT.
Vertiv distributors in attendance from Singapore and Malaysia include Datumstruct (M) Sdn Bhd, FPS-ENP SDN Nhd, Innovix Distribution Pte. Ltd., and OGX Networks Sdn Bhd, among others.
Delegates from Southeast Asia, as well as South Korea and Japan, were also given a tour of the Singapore Customer Experience Center, where the centrepiece was Vertiv’s SmartAisle™ micro data center solution.
