It was a buzz of activity at the Hub SS2 over the weekend, as Selangor Dredging Berhad (SDB) hosted the Hub Fiesta. “The fiesta-like atmosphere was vibrant and lively with food trucks, games like Fish the Duck!, face painting, clown shows, a cooking demonstration and also a year-end sale by Buffalo”, said Peter Quah, Head of Post Development. Besides that, it was also to showcase and welcome the new retail tenants at The Hub SS2.
Besides free-flow popcorn for guests and door gits for the first 500 who registered, there was also Zumba and line dancing classes that guests participated in. Many guests who attended the event were from nearby SDB developments like Five Stones and Ameera while the rest were those who lived around the vicinity.
The beacon of SS2, The Hub SS2 is defying all odds by providing work and retail spaces that are no longer confined by space or time. This mixed commercial development comprises 13 low-rise four-storey shop offices and 276 signature suites set in a 44-storey tower with public spaces such as the promenade, sheltered courtyards, signature water features and open-air plazas which are designed to foster contemplation and collaboration.
“We have rented out 80 per cent of retail units, and half of the tenants will be starting their operations by December, and the rest by early next year. While the Signature Suites are already 40 per cent occupied, we are looking forward to have an occupancy rate of 80 per cent by March 2019 for the signature suites”, said SDB post development head Peter Quah.
“Selangor Dredging Berhad has made its mark in the vicinity of SS2 with Ameera and Five Stones and now The Hub SS2, which is the tallest building in SS2. These developments have brought about a boom and bustling growth in the vicinity to create one of the most established commercial hubs in Petaling Jaya, and SS2 is also one of the largest district in Petaling Jaya with neighbouring places like Damansara Jaya, Damansara Utama, SS17 and SS23 (Taman Sea)”, added Quah.
To further enhance the connections between these developments, there will be a link bridge connecting The Hub SS2 to Five Stones. The significant landscaping at The Hub creates a nurturing and inspiring environment that you can work in with landscaped gardens filled with lush greenery, or the reflective pool with specially designed artwork stools. The rooftop consists of a double volume gym with a swimming pool and a jacuzzi with spectacular views of the PJ and KLskyline.
Some of the retail tenants at The Hub SS2 include Popo Hotpot for steamboat, Goodamn which serves fine dining, Djol Bridal House, Kooky Cream which is a bakery house and Wasabi which serves Japanese cuisine.
