Ten Years On From The Launch of the First S-series, Samsung Launches the S10 In Spectacular Fashion

The next generation of premium smartphones is here.

Ten years on from the first Galaxy S, Samsung today unveiled the new Galaxy 10 line with four unique devices. Consumers can expect a new level of experience as the devices are designed with powerful performance in mind, with elevated specs in terms of display, cameras and premium features packed on a flat screen.

Speaking at the KL launch this Thursday morning, D J Koh, the President and CEO of IT and Mobile Telecommunications Division said that the Galaxy S series has stood for innovation; “Galaxy S10 builds on that incredible legacy, and delivers breakthrough display, camera and performance innovations.”

The Galaxy S10 is made with what the company has termed its best screen yet, the world’s first Dynamic AMOLED display. As the first HDR10+-certified smartphone, the display delivers vivid content and a wider range of color thanks to the dynamic tone mapping.

The phones include the first-ever in-display Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner that reads the 3D contours of your physical thumbprint, as opposed to a 2D image of it, for improved anti-spoofing. Biometric authentication now keeps your device safe.

Digital stabilisation technology in the S10 gives aspiring videographers more stability when recording videos, whether you’re in a lit concert or a bumpy ride on your travels.

Wireless Power Share is undoubtedly one of the cool features of this series; you can easily charge Qi-certified smartphones and compatible wearable devices. The phone is capable of charging itself and a second device simultaneously via the Wireless PowerShare.

The models will be available in Malaysia 1st March 2019 onwards, with an expected retail price range from RM2,699 to RM4,599 depending on which model variant and capacity.
