At the Mobile World Congress, Huawei Consumer Business Group (CBG) introduced the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro, the CPE (Customer premise equipment ). It is a router which provides ultra-high speed broadband and intelligent Dual-link features designed to achieve stronger, “zero-distance” connectivity between people and connected machines. Powered by Balong 5000, this router serves as a breakthrough in 5G deployment and accessibility for consumer devices worldwide.
The HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro utilises its proprietary Balong 5000—the world’s first 5G multimode modem chipset. The power of the chipset enables the router to be the first to support commercial application of 4G and 5G dual-modes and the capacity to perform to industry benchmarks of peak 5G download speeds.

To ensure consumer demands are met in terms of network accessibility and connectivity, the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro utilises fiber-like up to 3.2Gbps speeds in commercial network to support ultra-high definition visual communications and immersive multimedia interactions.
Additionally, it also utilises dedicated video channel and game accelerator channel technology, meaning video performance.
The CPE enables next generation Wi-Fi 6 connectivity and speed and is designed to perform at uncompromised speeds in all environments.
Designed to receive better signals, the HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro is the world’s first “small cross-polarised” antenna that effectively minimises self-interference reducing the size of the structure by 20 percent, and increasing Wi-Fi coverage by 30 percent in both vertical and horizontal directions.
