Kuala Lumpur’s Hotel Maya recently hosted children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Al-Firdausi to share the Ramadan spirit of sharing and giving to a breaking of fast event held recently.
Themed Warisan Delights, the buffet spread laid included roast lamb, together with dishes specially prepared by the hotel’s accomplished chefs.
Traditional favourites like ulam, jeruk buah and the special Claypot Mamak and Apam Balik were also offered together with traditional sweets such as the mouth-watering Ice-Kacang, assorted kuih-muih, bubur, cakes and the special Ice Cream corner that has local flavours like Teh Tarik and Durian.
“We are very thrilled to offer a variety of traditional favourites at Maya Brasserie, and we would like our guests to reminisce a time when they back in their kampung – and all their favourite delicacies. At the same time, we maintained the warisan (heritage) so that the flavours remain as authentic as possible”, said Teekay Goh, General Manager of Hotel Maya Kuala Lumpur.
“Hotel Maya would like to give back this Ramadan, and we are very happy that the children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan Al-Firdausi are here today to enjoy our buffet spread, and at the same time get to know us,” added Tee Kay.
