TNB To Host 5-in-1 Power & Energy Series

The largest Power, Energy and Utilities show in Asia will be held at Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), Kuala Lumpur from September 3-5, 2019 and is endorsed by the Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change Malaysia (MESTECC).

The establishment of this series is in line with MESTECC’s energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives. Malaysia has huge potential in renewable energy resources, especially with the new roadmap for energy transition known as the Renewable Energy Transition Roadmap (RETR) 2035.

It will provide a good platform to explore the strategies and action plan to support the rapid growth of the industry.

This inaugural series will cover the whole value chain focusing on conventional and renewable generation, to transmission and distribution, to its digital transformation and including the financing of the energy transition by industry.

This three-day event involving 350 exhibitors, and estimated 11,000 visitors and 2,000 international buyers are expected to attend for insights on practical strategies towards achieving renewable targets, and discuss ways to address key issues of energy security across the region.

“As Malaysia’s leading power utility company, we are committed towards collaborative efforts to bring secure, affordable and sustainable energy for all. We are pleased to support platforms such as the POWERGEN Asia & Asian Utility Week 2019, which serve as important touch points for policy makers, industry players and consumers to convene and connect towards viable energy transition solutions,” says Tenaga Nasional Berhad’s President and CEO, Amir Hamzah Azizan.

Nick Rastall, Portfolio Director Asia of Clarion Energy says, “Not only will participants benefit from knowledge sharing from different industries, but it also presents unrivalled business opportunities for key organisations within the field. This event plays a crucial role in bringing together leading power, energy and utility companies with innovative professionals, to drive the changing landscape and discover the future of the power and energy industry in Asia.”

The 5-in-1 Power & Energy Series will feature  POWERGEN Asia, Asian Utility Week, DISTRIBUTECH Asia, SolarVision and Energy Capital Leaders Asia.
