Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (PayNet) -Malaysia’s premier payments network, has announced a new and exciting collaboration
with the IJN Foundation, a non-profit organisation that raises funds for less fortunate heart patients at the Institut Jantung Negara (IJN), that will change the landscape of donations.
The partnership will see PayNet harness the power and showcase the versatility of its rapidly growing DuitNow service to empower donors – be it companies or individuals, to use DuitNow to channel donations to IJN Foundation using only its company registration
number, 362551V. To mark this special occasion DuitNow has also donated a sum of RM20,000 to IJN Foundation.
“DuitNow is already transforming Malaysia’s e-Payments landscape bringing unparalleled convenience, efficiency and immediacy on a 24×7 basis. We now want to utilise this powerful quantum leap in electronic payments technology to help our fellow Malaysians
give back to each other,” said Khairuan Abdul, Deputy Director, Payments Network Malaysia.
“We are proud to be partnering with the IJN Foundation to utilise the incredible functionality and capability of DuitNow to further unlock Malaysia’s generosity. We truly believe that the greater ease in donating through DuitNow will help empower IJN Foundation with the funds it requires to help those who are truly in need,” he added.
DuitNow is a service operated by PayNet that allows bank customers to transfer money easily, instantly and securely using only the recipient’s mobile phone number, NRIC numbers or business registration numbers.
The announcement looks to shed greater light on how users can utilise DuitNow to make and receive payments for all types of endeavours including philanthropy and charity. Donations made through DuitNow will offer donors unparalleled convenience and safety as the donations will be channelled directly and securely to the recipient.
To utilise DuitNow, customers simply have to logon to their preferred bank’s Mobile and Internet Banking channel and look for DuitNow under the ‘Funds Transfer’ or ‘Send Money’ menu.
There are currently over 35 participating banks that support the DuitNow service including Public Bank, Maybank, CIMB Bank, Affin Bank, AmBank and HSBC Bank amongst others. To date DuitNow has already clocked in 8.0 million users and is quickly becoming the preferred e-Payments solution for Malaysians across the nation.
