Covid-19 death toll in Malaysia increases to nine

The Ministry of Health (MoH) has announced the death of a 48-year-old doctor who had suffered from the Covid-19 infections.

The doctor who had travelled to Turkey was not one of the frontliners as his case was only linked to overseas travel history.

His death brings the total death count from the Covid-19 infections nationwide to nine.

Health Director General Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, in a social media post, today updated that as of March 21, 153 new positive cases have been reported bring total number to 1,183.

Additionally, 27 cases have been discharged today bringing total number of patients who have been discharged to 114.

Malay Mail has also reported that the government will meet tomorrow to decide on a lower ceiling price for a three-ply face mask.

Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaacob said in a press conference that the Prime Minister along with the government has expressed their disagreement with the increment which was announced on Friday.
