CIMB Group confirms one Covid-19 positive case in MSB

CIMB Group Holdings Berhad has confirmed that one of its employees, based at CIMB’s call centre in Menara Southern Bank (MSB), has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

The staff is currently being treated at a government  hospital and contact tracing is being conducted, with all those in direct contact with the affected employee placed under home quarantine, until given the appropriate medical clearance.

The call centre, based at MSB, has been closed to undergo a thorough sanitisation and deep cleaning. In the meantime, the Group has stated that other call centres are still operational.

We seek the understanding of all customers as we work hard to get the call centre up and running again.

CIMB has business continuity plans in place for both head office and branches to ensure continuation of essential services.

The Group had earlier implemented several precautionary measures to ensure the well-being of customers and staff, which include a mandatory travel declaration policy, hygiene and social distancing measures at both the head office and branches.
