LG Electronics donates RM 82,000 worth air purifiers

LG Electronics Malaysia has donated its latest PuriCare™ Air Purifiers to Hospital Serdang, in an effort to provide their front-liners with overall comfort and cleaner air, thanks to its industry grade HEPA filters and Plasma Ionizer.

The donation was received by Dr. Rohana binti Johan, Director of Hospital Serdang and Nurul Insyirah Mohd Ishah, public relations Officer of Hospital Serdang.

“As a corporate citizen of Malaysia, this gesture is to show our support to the front-liners of the medical field who work endlessly around the clock during Malaysia’s hour of need. We understand that hospitals and its front-liners need as much as help and support in light of current situation. Which is why we [at LG Electronics] are keen to donate our air purifiers to be placed at the doctors’ lounge and staff rest areas. It is our sincerest hope that the air purifiers will provide them comfort, while purifying the indoor air around them.” said Kim Kyutae, Managing Director of LG Electronics Malaysia.

“With the recent spike of COVID-19 cases in Malaysia, we would like to remind Malaysians to help stop the spread of the virus by observing the MCO strictly while avoiding crowded places, practice social distancing and keep indoor air fresh and clean,” added Kim.

LG’s decision to donate their new air purifiers to Hospital Serdang during the extended duration of the Movement Control Order (MCO) goes in line with the home appliance manufacturer’s approach in producing ‘Technology that Cares’.
