Covid-19 : 88 new cases

The Ministry of Health has reported 88 new cases, bringing total number of Covid-19 cases in the country to 5,691.

With one more death reported, fatalities arising from the virus outbreak in the country is currently at 96.

The 96th case involves a 61-year-old Malaysian who had a history of high blood pressure, diabetes and kidney problems.

He was a close contact of Covid-19 patient No 1,345 who had a travel history to Indonesia.

As for recoveries, 121 former Covid-19 patients have also been discharged today to bring the country’s total recoveries to 3,663.

There are currently, 1,932 active cases.

The ongoing Movement Restriction Order (MCO) has been extended for another two weeks, until May 12.
