Covid-19: 40 new cases

The Ministry of Health have identified 40 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases up to 5820 cases, with 1764 active cases as of April 27.

95 new cases have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 3957. This also brings Malaysia to a recovery case percentage of 67.99 percent.

There are currently 37 cases being treated in the ICU, with 17 cases on ventilation support.

The MoH also announced one new death in Malaysia, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 99. The case that died of the coronavirus, was case 4087, a 78-year old man at Hospital Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom, Johor. He had been previously diagnosed with diabetes, high blood pressure and stroke.
