PropertyGuru launches dedicated content hubs to aid home seekers during Covid-19 crisis

According to PropertyGuru Malaysia Consumer Sentiment Study H1 2020, nearly 20 percent of Malaysians are renters.

“These demographics may struggle to pay rent amid the movement control order (MCO), as it becomes more difficult to find accommodations on a day-to-day basis in the wake of larger economic headwinds,” it said in a press statement.

In response to the ongoing crisis, PropertyGuru has launched  a dedicated content hub to help current homeowners and home seekers navigate through the ongoing pressing times.

The #LoveHome hub is updated frequently with evidence-based insights in order to provide support to better navigate buying, selling or renting a home during and post Covid-19 through 2020.

Additionally, the property content site has also launched #LendASpace and #NeedASpace dedicated hubs to match owners with unused spaces to those in need of accommodations amid the unprecedented national crisis.

The initiative comes as part of PropertyGuru’s effort dedicated to providing relief and support measures.

The move by PropertyGuru is targeted at frontline workers struggling with long daily commutes, tourists and international workers affected by cross-border lockdowns and anyone struggling with loss of income following the MCO.
