Najib Razak found guilty of all 7 charges linked to 1MDB case

Judge Nazlan Ghazali has found the former prime minister, Najib Razak guilty of all seven charges in the RM42m SRC International Shd Bhd case.

“I therefore find the accused guilty and convict the accused for all seven charges.” – Judge Mohd Nazlan Mohd Ghazali told the court.

The former Prime Minister was charged in July 2018 with the abuse of power with regards to approving RM 4 billion worth loans from KWAP to SRC between Aug 17, 2011 and Feb 8, 2012.

He also faced three criminal breach of trust involving deposit of RM42 million worth SRC funds into two AmIslamic Bank accounts, which he owned.

The SRC International case is among the first of the five trials the former premier is facing. The judge is expected to deliver the sentences for each of the convictions later on Tuesday.
