The Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA) announced that the MATTA Fair Online 2020, a new initiative, which will take place from 9 to 15 September 2020 to facilitate MATTA members comprising of travel agents and tour operators to sell holidays packages to consumers, especially for domestic travel and holidays.
In a statement, Tan Kok Liang, MATTA President, said in MATTA Fair Online 2020, MATTA is working with hotels through Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), airlines, attractions, theme parks attractions through Malaysian Association of Amusement Theme Park & Family Attractions (MAATFA), and SPA therapy through Association of Malaysian Spas (AMSPA).
“This is in line with the demands for domestic travel in this current time and beyond. MATTA has been working closely with potential sponsors and partners including Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Airlines, Penang Global Tourism, MAH, MAATFA, AMSPA, BOOST, IPAY88 and other state tourism offices,” Tan said.
In collaboration with various tourism partners, good discounts are up for grabs through the MATTA Fair Online 2020. Malaysia Airlines is offering up to 20 percent discount for domestic destinations with travel periods lasting until June 2021.
Open date vouchers valid until June 2021 will also be available during the period of the online fair provided by participating members of MAH, MAATFA and AMSPA.
“MATTA will also support participating exhibitors by allowing consumers to make direct payments to exhibitors via IPAY88 or BOOST with special arrangements,” Tan added.
To add excitement to the MATTA Fair Online, exhibitors will be offering their best deals with value-added services at special rates and bargain prices, and consumers can look forward to many holiday and travel packages with a range of niche products and product updates.
Throughout the past many years, the physical MATTA Fair has received great recognitions by locals as well as tourists from across the world. The national MATTA Fair has always been a success and this year we are working hard through the MATTA Fair Online event despite the challenging conditions due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Registration for participation in the MATTA Fair Online 2020 is from 29 July 2020 until 10 August 2020.
