The Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhiyiddin Yassin has announced that the Recovery Movement Control Order will be extended until Dec 31 in a live telecast.
The RMCO was initially expected to end on Aug 31.
The Prime Minister further said that existing compound amount may be doubled or even tripled in order to ensure strict compliance of SOPs to combat the outbreak. Additionally, the Covid-19 fund will also be extended until Dec 31.
The Prime Minister has also stressed that identifying the existing clusters will be the government’s highest priority.
