Sino Hua-An and Country Heights to enter into smart city partnership

Sino Hua-An International Berhad (SHIB) through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Touchpoint International Sdn Bhd (TPI) will enter into a partnership agreement with Country Heights Holdings Berhad (CHHB) to build a smart city platform for the Mines township.

A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed today by both parties to collaborate, develop and position the Mines Wellness City to be the first township in Malaysia to use smart city app, to be called the M Smart City App (MSA), with cryptocurrency enablement.

With this alliance, the Mines community is set to benefit from integrated digital services, cutting edge community engagement and smart city management all on one smart city app.

Residents, merchants, visitors and management within the township will enjoy seamless access to news of current happenings; promotions and current offers; view of list of point of interests; events and ticket sales; F&B services; health and wellness packages; hotel bookings; cross marketing opportunities; cashless payment acceptance via e-wallet; loyalty programmes; and even to make crypto payments and gain data analytics from the Mines Smart City activities.

The signing parties are Tunku Naquiyuddin ibni Tuanku Ja’afar, Executive Chairman of SHIB and Lee Kim Yew, Founder and Executive Chairman of CHHB.

Tunku Naquiyuddin said TPI is a leader in digital transformation solution and smart city platforms.  It developed M Squared, a multisided, mobile-first community platform in May 2020. M Squared is designed to help commercial, government and social communities connect and interact digitally on one platform.

“TPI’s smart city platform which currently powers Putrajaya, offers game-changing platform solutions that benefit individuals, businesses and local government. With its mobile community platform solution users can conveniently do multiple things online on their phone and local businesses can better serve and connect with their customers.

“TPI is making forays and we are honoured to partner with Country Heights to provide the very same convenience for residents in the Mines.

Tunku Naquiyuddin said the endeavour is important and necessary as it is the new normal which has to be embraced by everybody around the world as we fight the Covid-19 pandemic.

Tan Sri Lee meanwhile said that he had recently announced his plan to step down from CHHB in January 2021 and will be passing the baton to the new directors to implement the Digital Transformation and its Integrated Wellness Business.

“This is the first step of CHHB’s digital transformation plan to focus on integrating our entire Mines township through the adoption of blockchain technologies platform. We will use this technology to ink with our ecosystem and all of our developments,” said Tan Sri Lee.

Both parties will collaborate on the M Smart City Platform with the aim to forge a formal agreement two months within the signing of the MOU.

Targeted to launch by first quarter of 2021, the M Smart City Platform and Mobile MSA aimed to connect all residents, guests, visitors and merchants of Mines community, and to any other end users as may be required by CHHB for the growth and development of the Mines township
