Piaget’s new release: Altiplano Tourbillon

Piaget is introducing a 38mm sized Altiplano Tourbillon in limited edition alongside another Altiplano Tourbillon Limited Edition in 41mm with blue lacquered dial. Piaget previously revealed in 2017 their first Altiplano Tourbillon in a 41mm case size.

Founded in 1874, Piaget was introduced by Georges Edouard Piaget who started it in the workshop on the family farm in the village of La Côte-aux-Fées and its expertise is in manufacturing ultra-thin watches. Ultra-thin has always been part of Piaget’s culture and keeps revolving years to years.

To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the ultra-thin movement, Piaget released ultra-thin Altiplano Flying Tourbillon in 2017. It consists of 157 ultra-thin and ultra-light components, such as a carriage measuring around 2.88mm, three titanium bridges weighing less than 0.2g. It also holds a patent for its stem mechanism, featuring an intermediate wheel that looks like a staircase and enables the user to set the time of the off-centred dial.
