Digi announces new connectivity solution for SMEs amid digital transformation wave

Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (Digi) has announced its Digi Business Fibre Broadband, a new, comprehensive connectivity solution at lowest market prices to help micro, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) power business continuity and ride the digital transformation wave.

With the launch of Digi Business Fibre Broadband, the telco now offers SMEs best-in-value connectivity options of high-speed fibre broadband plans paired with mobile postpaid lines, enabling unlimited and seamless internet connectivity for SMEs to manage their business round-the-clock and on-the-go.

Although the current business landscape has accelerated the rate of digitalisation in the country, with many SMEs leveraging digital opportunities to recover and grow their business, 84 percent of SMEs still cite difficulties in online connectivity as a challenge in managing their business efficiently, based on an EY research.[1]

To this end, Digi’s Chief Business Officer, Eugene Teh stated that digital connectivity is fundamental in driving effective digitalisation for SMEs.

“We recognise that SMEs need the right technologies and digital tools to maximise productivity and efficiencies while managing cost to ensure recovery and growth. They also need to be agile and adapt quickly to future-proof their business against an ever-changing and challenging market landscape. Therefore, we are presenting SMEs a relevant and compelling proposition: a complete suite of quality digital connectivity that serves SMEs’ current and future needs, at best-in-market value,” he said.

Eugene further underlined Digi’s commitment to power SMEs through this uncertain period, “We believe digital enablement is the key to both survive and thrive, and with our digital connectivity, solutions and expertise, we will continue supporting SMEs as their trusted digital partner.”

On the back of Digi’s recent expansion becoming one of the largest home fibre providers in Malaysia, Digi’s SME customers can now look forward to enjoying ultra-fast fibre broadband, ranging from 100 Mbps to 800 Mbps, starting at RM130 a month.
