Budget 2021: Empowering women

  • RM95 million of special micro credit financing is allocated through TEKUN, MARA and AgroBank
  • RM50 million provided under the Yayasan Pembangunan Ekonomi Islam Malaysia, (YaPEIM) to support Islamic financing activities through Ar-Rahnu BizNita
  • RM21 million allocation for Local Social Support Center 
  • Guidance programs especially in the aspects of packaging and labeling, marketing strategies as well as technical guidance of business will also be provided to more than 2,000 women entrepreneurs through the Micro Entrepreneur Business Development Program or BizMe
  • RM30 million is provided to set up kindergartens in Government buildings,with more focus in hospitals
  • RM20 million ringgit of matching grants allocated for the private sector, to encourage the sector to provide childcare centers on their premises
  • RM10 million allocated for cervical cancer screening programme and mammogram test subsidy for women at high risk of breast cancer
