Tourplus announces new app to help local business get more domestic tourists

Malaysian travel startup, Tourplus Technology Sdn Bhd (Tourplus) has announced their new Tourplus app that aims to help local businesses get more domestic tourists.

With the newly designed Discover function, the App allows users to check on photo or video reviews by other tourists, which will be able to give you an idea about the quality of the restaurant and what is on the menu. It has the capability to also guide you to the location on the App itself without you having to search for it via other Apps like Google Maps or Waze.

“Tourplus App is the perfect tool to enhance your travel experiences. The App is the most advanced tourism app in Malaysia and I am so excited to share with everyone on the development that has gone into it. With our whole new redesigned user interface, we bring in few features which truly helps you while you travel. We are targeting a download of 20,000 users within Q12021 and a revenue increase of at least 100% compared to Q12020,” Rickson Goh, Tourplus Chief Executive Officer and Founder said.

The App which is equipped with an Advance Recommendation System is able to predict user preferences and help them make the decision by showing the most relevant restaurant users are highly likely to dine in.

One of the other interesting elements attached to the App is that it is designed with a function that allows a review to be made so that the experiences can be shared.

“Travelling to unknown places and trying to locate a restaurant for example to dine in can be one of the hardest decisions especially when it is the first time you have ever set foot in a place. With Tourplus App, you are able to find a nearby restaurant and filter it according to your preferences,” Muhammad Haikal Abd Rahman, Tourplus VP of Product said.

Tourplus is also launching a RM1,000 Cashback campaign when using the Touplus App. It is a 5 month campaign that kicks off from Nov 16 to March 31, 2021.
