Cuckoo and LSK Group Berhad ink MOA to co-develop healthy home offerings

Cuckoo International (MAL) Sdn Bhd (Cuckoo International), and latex mattress maker, Lee Swee Kiat Group Bhd (LSK) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) to complement one another in developing innovative and Beyond Standards mattresses for Malaysians.

“Having supported over four million household users through a diverse healthy home offering over the years, we are excited to take a step further to complete the homes of Malaysians through our collaboration with LSK Napure.

We believe that this dynamic and strategic collaboration, which will see the development of innovative mattresses using cutting-edge technologies, is the perfect investment in raising the quality of living for Malaysians,” Cuckoo International Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Hoe Kian Choon (KC Hoe) said.

The development of the mattresses will be supported by Bursa-listed company, LSK and its brand – Napure, whose mission is in line with the goal of the collaboration, to help people to sleep healthier.

With a demonstrated history and experience as the largest Natural Latex Bedding manufacturer, the first to develop anilene-free latex and the first certified organic latex bedding manufacturer, the Cuckoo mattresses, slated to launch in late 1Q2021, is set to be one of the finest in the industry.

The collaboration with LSK also provides a timely opportunity for Cuckoo International to introduce its fourth healthy home pillar officially, The Healthy Living pillar. Led by the Cuckoo brand, the healthy living pillar will see innovative locally developed healthy home solutions with mattresses, co-created with LSK Napure, being the first product under the pillar.

Under the collaboration, a total of RM200,000 will be invested into the development of the mattresses and is projected to bring in over RM60 million in revenue under the healthy living pillar in 2021.

Through this, Cuckoo will be helping over 160,000 Malaysians in the next three years to sleep better, a key component towards a healthier living.

“This collaboration, which also sees the introduction of our newly introduced Healthy Living pillar and the development of our innovative mattresses, reaffirms our commitment towards providing Malaysians a holistic healthy home offering.

Together with our other healthy home pillars, Healthy Appliances, Healthy Lifestyle and Healthy Home Care, we will continue to curate Beyond Standards Healthy Home offerings for all Malaysians as the No.1 Healthy Home Creator,” KC Hoe highlighted.
