UNIQLO’s first roadside is opening in Malaysia

UNIQLO DA Square is the first Japanese apparel retailer’s roadside store in Malaysia. It will open on Friday at 10 a.m. and is located at Bandar Sri Damansara. In celebration of the opening, there will be three-days offer and the first 500 customers to enter the store each day will receive a goodie bag. Any purchase of RM200 or more in a single transaction will also be granted a UNIQLO U tote bag.

Malaysia is the fifth country outside Japan and the third in Southeast Asia to open a roadside store. This is to relive the success in South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and the Philippines. These stores are located close-to-home for customers in nearby townships to enjoy an easier trip to UNIQLO.

According to Yuki Yamada, the CEO of UNIQLO Malaysia and Singapore, this store is designed to assure space and accessibility for families with children, elderly people and disabled person. Customers who are familiar with UNIQLO also can locate quickly what they want with a full-range display and well-planned and easy-to-cruise sections of the shopping floor.

UNIQLO DA Square is the only store to carry the full range of AIRism beddings and the second store to feature UTme! corner that offers sticker design and printing service for T-shirt and tote bag. There are also Sustainability Corner to encourage on making sustainable cloth and educate customers how to contribute for a sustainable society. Last but not least, there will a full range display of each product category such as AIRism beddings, inner ear, maternity among others.

UNIQLO DA Square will be operating from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. There will a same-level parking for customers outside the store building including spaces for disabled person.
