Construction company, MGB Berhad (MGB) has collaborated with the Selangor State Government to develop and build more than 7,000 units of Rumah Selangorku Idaman in Shah Alam, Bandar Saujana Putra, Dengkil, Puncak Alam and Puchong.

The project’s gross development value (GDV) for the six project is more than RM1.8 billion and is expected to launch in the first half of 2021.

“Over the years, the Selangor State Government has made concerted efforts to help the Selangor residents to have their own homes and its holistic incentives will improve the economic environment which ultimately enables the property development industry to grow and benefit first time home buyers.

“As an established construction player with more than 13 years of experience, MGB does not remain stagnant but continues to grow and improve ourselves,” MGB Managing Director Lim Hock San said.

At this moment, MGB will announce other projects if there are any apart from the Rumah Selangorku Idaman and will have a possibility  to move forward beyond the four areas mentioned earlier [Shah Alam, Bandar Saujana Putra, Dengkil, Puncak Alam and Puchong].

According to iproperty.com.my, the property demand in the second half of 2020 began to recover as restrictions were relaxed despite the Movement Control Order (MCO) has dampened the country’s overall economic growth even with Shah Alam recorded a positive demand +0.9 percent year-on-year.
