Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre Donates 500 Face Shields To Protect Morning Market Traders

Sri Kota Specialist Medical Centre (SKSMC) has donated face shields to the Klang Municipal Council (MPK) for distribution to 500 traders in markets in the district due to recent decisions to tighten the standard operating procedures (SOP) of the morning trader markets within the district.

Hospital Director, Tan Suet Guan said the aid of face shields comes in light of MPK’s due to concerns for the traders’ health and safety and as part of its pledge to better support the Klang population.

She urges market-goers to continue practising physical distancing while visiting the markets to keep the traders safe.

“Visiting our beloved pasar pagi and pasar malam is the Malaysian way of life and we hope that SKSMC’s donation will provide extra protection for everyone,” Tan said.

In the meantime, MPK President, Ahmad Fadzli Ahmad Tajuddin said the wellbeing of the community should be the utmost priority and he is thankful to SKSMC for their unwavering dedication towards ensuring the Klang community is well protected and taken care of

SKSMC’s Dr Tan, along with Ahmad Fadzli handed out the face shields to the traders, as well as goodie bags from SKSMC to visiting customers during their visit to the market.
