Rebranding Of Farmers’ Outlets To Boost Agricultural Marketing Efforts

The rebranding of ‘Peladang Outlet’ (PO) will further boost product marketing activities by the Farmers’ Organisations Authority (FAO) nationwide in line with the digital 4.0 revolution.

Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry, Ronald Kiandee stated the rebranding will demonstrate the variety of functions of farmers who have multiple goods that are marketed under one brand.

“It aims to create a brand that is easy to remember and can create a ‘sense of belonging’ among consumers thus creating awareness to consumers about the existence of farmers’ brands in the market

“It is a requirement for the FAO to rebrand marketing channels under one brand so that they are easily recognisable, trusted, and credible,” he said.

He added that it was also to maintain the FAO marketing activities consist by using a brand that covered different aspects of marketing such as farmers’ systems, stores, and goods.

“Through this rebranding, the Farmers Outlet will be able to be competitive and on par with other brands in the market in line with the ever-changing needs of consumers.

Meanwhile, Ronald also presented 22 refrigerated trucks to FAO members nationwide through the Strategic Programme to Empower the People and Economy (PEMERKASA) with an allocation of RM3.4 million that comes under the FAO’s Special Agro -Food Fund (Mobilisation and Logistics).
