Kenanga Investors Records A Total Distribution Of Over RM531 Million

Kenanga Investors Berhad has declared an income distribution of RM256.0 million for 21 retail funds till March 2021 adding to the previous RM275.7 million that has been distributed.

The company have also announced an income repatriation throughout 2021, bring a record-breaking total distribution amounting RM531.7 million for its clients in 2020.      

The income distribution yields ranged from 8 percent to 12 percent for equity and balanced funds while fixed-income funds generated average yields of 6 percent.

“We are proud to declare an income distribution for a wide range of funds under our management. The outperformance reflects our superior bottom-up stock selection in small and mid-cap counters which had been expected strong earnings growth in the past few years including 2020,” Ismitz Matthew De Alwis, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of Kenanga Investors said.

The income distribution ranging from the funds’ realised gains, dividends and other income across equity, fixed income and mixed asset classes, which included the firm’s flagship funds Kenanga Growth Fund and Kenanga Syariah Growth Fund.

As of February 28, 2021, the firm manages 38 unit trust funds, two private retirement schemes, six exchange-traded funds (ETFs), 29 wholesale funds and other funds from government agencies, pension funds, insurance, corporate and individual clients with total assets under administration amounting to RM14.7 billion.
