Zurich Extends New Protection Plans To Ensure Malaysians Remain Protected

Zurich Malaysia has introduced two new plans to address the growing concern of users losing their safety net protection and ability to provide during times of uncertainty. The two new plans are the Zurich Essential Cover designed for those who are in the early years of their careers and the Zurich Prestige Cover for Malaysians who are beginning to plan their retirement.

These new options allow Malaysians to choose the insurance cover that best depends on their level of need. It also protects them by providing affordable protection through a hassle-free application process.

Recently, Bank Negara Malaysia Financial Stability Review 2H2020 showed that the Malaysian household debt is at a new high of 93.3 percent which means their families will bear the debt burden in addition to everyday expenses of supporting the family should anything unfortunate happen to the breadwinner or due to loss of income.

“We know and understand customer concerns in these uncertain times, and we want to provide a solution that is attainable for them,” Zurich Life Insurance Chief Executive Officer, Khoo Ai Lin said.

The Zurich Essential Cover and Zurich Prestige Cover offer up to 600 percent basic sum covered (BSA) and the flexibility to choose preferred BSA ranging from RM20,000 to RM300,000.

Both plans cover death, total and permanent disability and golden age disability up to age 100.

Additionally, Zurich Essential Cover has a low entry point of RM1.43 per day with the choice of 20 or 30-year coverage terms. Whereas Zurich Prestige Cover customers can choose to pay for 5, 10 or 20 years but stay protected for 30 years.
