The application for Selangor Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise (SME) Digitalisation Matching Grant application has been extended to a new deadline (June 15 2021), following the implementation of the Movement Control Order 3.0 (MCO 3.0)
The newly imposed movement restriction will have a major impact on SMEs operations especially those who have been struggling to recover their businesses because of the Covid-19 outbreak.
The extension of the closing date for the Selangor SME Digitalisation Matching Grant from May 15 to June 15, is aimed to enable more Selangor SMEs to digitalise their businesses and provide more time for them to complete the application process.
Recently launched by Selangor Menteri Besar, Amiruddin Shari on April 12, 2021, the grant has received an overwhelming response with 200 applications has successfully received help to undergo digital transformation.
Selangor SMEs can apply to five digitalisation areas offered which are E-Commerce, HR and Payroll System, Cloud Accounting, Digital Marketing, Electronic Point of Sale (E-PoS) & Payment Gateway.
SMEs who are looking to apply for the grant Eligibility criteria for SMEs must meet the following criteria which are; registered under the relevant laws of Malaysia. Must be at least 51 percent owned by Malaysians. Their business address or operation address must only be registered in Selangor with the operation for at least one year.
It is also required for SMEs to have a minimum annual sales turnover of RM300,000 and not exceeding RM1 million. The grant is limited to one application per company only.
However, SMEs can apply to up to three digital services with one or more service providers that are endorsed by Sidec.
