Government Will Continue Empowering Youths With Initiatives

Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has aknodleged the role of youths in the country and assured that there will be more programs and initiatives set to empower and develop them into a highly innovative and sustainable human capital.

Addressing the matter during the National Youth Day organised by the Youth and Sports Ministry, he said that under the PEMPERKASA initiative introduced to assist the people from the ravaging Covid-19 pandemic, there were already various initiatives specially catered for the youths. There is also the Initiative 19: prihatin Belia another example of government’s assistance towards this end.

As a continuing effort to elevate youths in the country, multiple Ministries have been tasked to throw support so that the community does not get left behind during these challenging times. Grants and entrepreneurial programs are in place across a host of agencies including banks to assist youths to make strides in their ambitions.

Together with the Malaysian Youth Council, the Youth and Sport Ministry is taking initiative to formulate the New Youth Development Model which can further devise specific solutions for the betterment of the segment.
