Twitter And Astro Partner To Bring Instant Highlights From Euro 2020 And Tokyo Olympics

How do you overcome your EURO 2020 anxiety, not knowing if Harry Kane will be benched or if Spain is destined for an early exit, this can leave a diehard fan in a state of limbo-however Astro the official broadcaster for the biggest football tournament in Europe is partnering with Twitter in keeping fans updated regularly.

Twitter and Astro have announced a new partnership to bring video highlights on EURO 2020 and the Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics to the platform.

These updates will include match highlights for all 51 matches, livestreams of pre- and post-match studio shows, as well as selected clips of post-match studio shows. Additionally, Malaysian fans will be able to participate in unique contest deigned for Twitter users, including media polls on promo clips, match reactions, and interviews. By following selected handles, fans will also be able to participate in Twitter Spaces which a new way to have live audio conversations on Twitter, where they’ll be able to listen to content about EURO 2020.

“Twitter is where sports fans go to connect with the global conversation in real time, and by teaming up with Astro to bring all of the most exciting EURO 2020 and Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics to Malaysians, we’re giving them everything they want in one place,” said Maurizio Barbieri, Twitter’s SEA Head of Sports Partnerships.

CK Lee, Head of Sports at Astro believes the partnership will help Malaysians connect with conversations around the world on the topic they enjoy the most, football.
