Razer Merchant Services (RMS), the B2B arm of Razer Fintech has partnered with mobile wallet ShopeePay to enable ShopeePay as an accepted payment option for all Burger King and 99 Speedmart branches in Malaysia, in a bid to expand cashless offerings to consumers nationwide.
Along with RMS’ network of over 50,000 merchants, the collaboration aims to expand ShopeePay’s offering to drive foot-traffic into merchant’s physical stores.
Lee Li Meng, Chief Executive Officer of Razer Fintech said, “The preferred payment options in Malaysia are shifting as mobile wallets adoption rates are increasing, while cash payments are declining. We are positive that our partnership with ShopeePay can be a game-changing initiative to boost contactless transactions offline, especially among their e-commerce users.”
RMS retailers can use the Razer Cash function to allow customers without bank cards or accounts to pay for e-commerce items with cash at specified convenience stores. This function appears to be beneficial to students, teenagers, international employees, and senior citizens.
The enabling of ShopeePay in all Burger King and 99 Speedmart locations is only the beginning. According to RMS, the company will continue to expand with ShopeePay to make them available to more RMS’ network of retail and online merchants.

Shopee is sponsoring exclusive promotions with 99 Speedmart and Burger King to commemorate this cooperation. From now until July 31, 2021, ShopeePay members will get a one-time RM4 cashback when they purchase a minimum of RM20 at 99 Speedmart. From July 1 to August 31, 2021, ShopeePay users will receive a one-time RM4 cashback when they purchase a minimum of RM20 at Burger King.
