SUBPLACE and MDEC Team Up To Launch Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign For SMEs

SUBPLACE has partnered with Malaysia Digital Corporation (MDEC) to launch the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign. The campaign will help local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) conduct business online.

Through the SUBPLACE platform, users only have to sign up once for product and service plans to have regular deliveries or continued access to services. In addition, with the rent-to-own and rent-to-use models, customers could own high-value products at low entry cost.

Mak Wai Hoong, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of SUBPLACE said, “With the Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign Business Fund, we hope to help more SMEs transform their businesses to a subscription business to help get through these difficult times.”

“With strong support from the Government and effective public-private collaborations, MDEC aims to further catalyse the growth of eCommerce in Malaysia and of equal importance, sustaining livelihoods and jobs in the process,” said Surina Shukri, CEO of MDEC.

With this support from the Government, SMEs will be offered a 100 percent waiver on setup fees on the platform worth RM1,000. There will also be subsidies of up to RM1,500 each when SMEs opt for the premium package with includes yearly training, tech support, and monthly maintenance on top of the RM1,000 setup fee.

Additionally, a 2 percent discount on the transaction fee will be given to new and existing Biz Partners.

The Go-eCommerce Onboarding Campaign Business Fund is open to all local retailers and SMEs registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Malaysia or SSM). This campaign will commence on the July 1 up till the Dec 31.
The fee waiver will be automatically applied for all merchants who sign up before the 31st of December 2021. More information on the campaign can be found at subplace.com/bizpartner/go-ecommerce2021.
