GHHS Healthcare Kicks Off As Vaccination Centre For Chinese Citizens In Malaysia

For foreigners residing in the country either for work or with permanent residence can breathe a sigh of relief as the National Vaccination Program has already initiated discussions with various parties to conduct large scale vaccination for nationals from other countries.

Rolling out a large scale program where Chinese nationals can be comfortable, the Chinese Embassy together with Ministry of Foreign Affairs, MOSTI and GHHS Healthcare are kicking off the vaccination process with 500 nationals to be vaccinated at the GHHS Vaccination Centre.

Initiating the venue, Dato’ Seri Hishamuddin Tun Hussein, Senior Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, together with His Excellency Ouyang Yujing, China Ambassador to Malaysia accompanied by Tan Sri Lee Kim Yew, the founder of GHHS Healthcare made an official visit to declare the program.

“We are pleased to know that several PPVs throughout the whole country will be helping out China citizens to get their vaccination as part of the effort to curb the spread of Covid-19. Besides Sinovac vaccine, Malaysia will be using Cansino vaccine too to help in the immunisations of Chinese Expatriates in Malaysia,“ stated Tan Sri Lee.

The vaccination centre for Chinese Citizens in Malaysia is set up at the GHHS Healthcare Vaccination Centre, with the help of Golden Horse Investment Bank (GHIB). According to the China Embassy in Malaysia, there are about 26,000 to 30,000 China’s Nationals living in Malaysia. Today, the first 500 will be vaccinated at GHHS Healthcare under the arrangement of the embassy.

Currently there are over 556 PPV’s opened for vaccination not to mention clinics, mobile units, community centres and pop-ups, the country has jabbed 20 million of its population and is regarded as one of the fastest in the world.
