Malaysia Hits 38 Percent Total Population Vaccinated

Latest figures from Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee shows Malaysia has reached 38 percent of the country’s population vaccinated, this attributes to 12,408,803 individuals having completed both doses of the Covid-19 doses.

An infographic shared on the committee’s official Twitter page indicated that 17,961, 600 individuals, or 55 per cent, had received the first dose of the vaccine, making the cumulative number of vaccine doses administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme to 30,370,403 doses.

This is markedly an improved trajectory and is heading towards the right direction for total population inoculation by October. Malaysia continues to receive vaccines from friendly countries including additional approvals given to newer brands. Recently Solution group received its first batch of 200,000 doses Convidecia vaccine from CanSino, this is will be a single jab vaccine which can further speed up the vaccination process in the country.

On the daily vaccination, 483,855 doses of the vaccine were dispensed yesterday, with 155,030 doses as first dose, while 328,825 doses to the second dose recipients.
