The online portal was created by the start-up ACS Pentas Asia, incorporated in Malaysia in October 2018 by founders Devindran Ramanathan, an icon in the automative industry having been with BMW for 20 years and SM Brahmananda, co-founder and director.
“Every car company has obsolete parts. If you don’t promote the sales of these, then the industry lowers its entry barrier and will encourage parallel imports and the sale of lower quality and unsafe parts,” Devindran says.
SpareXHub is revolutionizing the way consumers increasingly search online for discounted genuine parts for their car by connecting car owners with workshops, stockists and logistics partners for the sourcing and merchandising of original spare parts for car brands such as BMW, MINI , Porsche , Hyundai , Ford, Volkswagen and more.
Co founder and Chief Technology Officer Bramananda says, “Genuine spare parts often lay idle & hidden in warehouses of franchise dealers today. We found there was an opportunity to use the marketplace to trade these unsold or surplus stock. While the market is full of aftermarket car parts, or original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts, we got together in 2017 and did our research and started this portal with our company.”
