Bintai Healthcare Now Distributes Sinopharm’s Covid-19 Vaccine In Malaysia

Bintai Healthcare Sdn Bhd (Bintai Healthcare), a subsidiary of Bintai Kinden Corporation Bhd (Bintai Kinden)has inked a deal to expand its healthcare product offering and market footprint in Malaysia.

The Company had today entered into a Business Collaboration Agreement with NGT Solutions (M) Sdn Bhd (NGTS), an appointed Healthcare Organiser of Duopharma Biotech Bhd (Duopharma) to jointly distribute Sinopharm’s Covid-19 vaccine to the private sector in Malaysia.

To recap, Duopharma was granted the product registration Conditional Approval by the Drug Control Authority on 16 July for Sinopharm’s COVILO Covid-19 vaccine to curb the spread of the pandemic in Malaysia.

With the approval, Duopharma is ready to supply the vaccine to the private sector via local marketing and distribution rights that has been secured for the vaccine manufactured by Sinopharm, China.

“We already have the facility to store and distribute Covid-19 vaccine. Bintai Healthcare is the exclusive distributor for Greenie Medi Cold Chain Box in Malaysia. The medical freezer box is designed for the storage and distribution of medical goods”, says Azri Azerai, Executive Director of Bintai Kinden.

NGTS as the Healthcare Organiser will be providing the manpower and clinical resources including personal protective equipment and medical equipment to assess, vaccinate and monitor individuals as well as managing emergency during the vaccination process. This is all under the Business Collaboration Agreement.
