Pertama Digital Now Majority Stake Holder In Dapat Vista

Pertama Digital Berhad has taken another 24% stake in Dapat Vista from HeiTech Padu which now makes it owning a majority of 80% shareholding in the company.

Dapat Vista plays an interesting role for Pertama, Saify Akhtar, Pertama Digital’s Director of Strategy, said, “Dapat’s businesses are relentlessly growing during the COVID-19 pandemic that encourages digital touchpoints over physical contact. Pertama Digital’s increased majority stake in Dapat enables a consolidation of larger contribution to the bottomline of Pertama Digital.”

Amanda Sabri, Dapat’s CEO, added: “We run eJamin, the world’s first smartphone court bail payment solution that is live in courts all over Malaysia. We piloted the eJamin+ feature this year to raise the bank transfer limit for court bail payment, from RM30,000 to RM500,000 in a single transaction. This feature will be available nationwide soon, increasing the pool of eJamin users. Additionally Dapat has revamped its mySMS, the online platform that government agencies use to reach out to the rakyat via reliable short messaging service, such as for public hospital appointments, public university admissions and information on zakat.

Listed on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad, Pertama Digital backs govtech and fintech initiatives that build impactful, inclusive solutions for Malaysians. Pertama Digital acquired a 51% stake in TAS in May 2020. Recently, Pertama Digital’s consortium applied for a digital banking licence from Bank Negara Malaysia, focused on a collaborative approach with ecosystem players to provide ethical and productive financing for the financially underserved to fuel post-pandemic productivity.
