There has been concerns raised by those receiving vaccines from private companies on the delay of vaccination status on their MySejahtera app. Pharmaniaga which is the main distributor for Sinovac vaccines for non-public has informed the recipients not to be alarmed as they can still use the vaccine reminder card (VRC) as verification.

Vaccine recipients who have received their two-dose vaccination under Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine private vaccination initiative but who have yet to receive the digital certification in their MySejahtera application will be able to enjoy the same privileges given to any two-dose vaccine recipient by showing their physical vaccination card. It is also advised for individuals who do not own a smartphone, be it those who are not technically savvy, and in particular, those living in remote areas, it is crucial to keep their physical vaccination card safe and at hand at all times, as it is their only form of proof of having received their two-dose vaccination.

Besides, the usage of the VRC has been made compulsory by the Special Committee On COVID19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) during the vaccination process as it contains essential information such as vaccination dates and vaccines received.Health Minister Minister Khairy Jamaluddin did indicate for individuals who have not received their vaccine digital certificate in the app to use the VRC as proof as this will be valid. Places or facilities that require vaccination proof should acknowledge the use of the VRC.

Pharmaniaga which took on the private vaccine roll out expects the issue should be resolved in due time when the backlog of data from different catchment is updated.
