Ni Hsin EV Tech Sdn Bhd (NHEV) and Dongguan Tailing Motor Vehicle Co Ltd (DTMV) today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to collaborate and explore opportunities in the study, research, development, assembly and distribution of an electric vehicle (EV) project. NHEV is the wholly-owned subsidiary of Ni Hsin Group Bhd.
According to the MoU NHEV will be collaborating with China-based Dongguan Tailing Motor Vehicle to develop customised EVs for commercial purposes in Malaysia and the ASEAN region.
NHEV managing director Khoo Chee Kong said the Ni Hsin group’s venture into the e-mobility business is about business sustainability and a commitment to the environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) criteria of sustainability.
“Through the collaboration, we will be working with DTMV to develop the EV bikes for the above and other commercial purposes,” he said in a statement today.
