Ministry of Finance has indicated that approved recipients of the Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat aid can check on their status on the assigned Hasil portal. It is expected close to 200 thousand recipients with an estimated allocation of RM240 million will receive payment that will be credited directly to the bank account. The government has updated the data of the B40 group who are eligible to receive Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat through the appeal application which was opened till end June. These appeals were then re -verified by the Inland Revenue Board to ensure that this cash assistance initiative can be channeled to those who really deserve. As for the year, the government has provided a total of RM17.1 billion in cash assistance in the hopes that it will lessen the burden of Malaysians caught in the epicenter of the pandemic. In line with the announcement, the Government also offered these successful recipients to participate in the Jaringan Prihatin Program which has been extended till end of September. This comes in timely as individuals who have been vaccinated can walk into retail stores to redeem their mobile devices. The programs is essentially catered for the B40 target group to facilitate them in their education.
