Solarvest Future’s Bright With RM560 Million Order Book

As the country embarks on transitioning to clean energy order to meet the 2030 net zero carbon emission target, the business opportunity arising from this mega undertaking is immense. Enjoying brisk orders and prospects looking bright in the sector, Solarvest which undertakes projects in solar energy is optimistic on its business ventures for next couple of decades.

Commenting on the Group’s future plans and outlook, Group CEO, Mr. Davis Chong Chun Shiong said “During the fiscal year 2021, we successfully maintained our market leadership as the preferred clean energy partner in Malaysia and delivered an all-time high net profit of RM16.1 million in FY2021.”

Solarvest is one of many green energy project managers in the country, with multiple projects in the the company is enjoying the positive momentum in the market and clinched solar projects to the tune of RM560 million.  

“Our growth prospects remain intact, and the outlook ahead is promising underpinned by the recent Twelfth Malaysia Plan (12MP) where sustainability was tabled as one of the key recovery themes. We anticipate an accelerated
energy transition as the nation embraces the circular economy model. This will further drive demand for solar energy as renewable energy source is a key pillar to achieve a sustainable ecosystem. Solarvest is well poised to
play a significant role in advancing the adoption of solar energy and contribute to the growth of green economy that will propel the country towards a carbon neutral nation by 2050.”

Reacting to market needs has made Solarvest more nimble and accommodative, it has broadened its offerings
to include solar financing and solar leasing solutions enabling businesses to switch to solar energy without any capital outlays. The financing solutions is noted to play a crucial role in stimulating demand and provide access to businesses who wish to adopt the circular approach.

The group had recently launched a solar financing programme, Powervest, to meet the shift in consumer preference to zero-upfront solar investment and flexible financing options. The programme encompasses two competitive
financial models namely Powerflex and Powerlease, innovative tailor-made solutions targeted at commercial and industrial users with differing financing needs.

“As part of future proofing Solarvest, we have implemented several strategic plans that expand our involvement in the clean energy industry beyond EPCC, and into solar energy generation and solar investments. Our successful entry into LSS@Mentari programme as an asset owner marks our first major investment in LSS developments.
