Hotels Preparing For Hosting Social Events Soon In Malaysia

Social events and functions such as weddings in the hotel will be opening up soon and the hotel industries are gearing up to accommodate their guests once the government gives the green light.

Sheraton Petaling Jaya’s General Manager, Angela Fox said after many months of closures, we are excited to be gradually reopening our meeting and event space with strict adherence to the Malaysian Government’s SOPs and Marriott International’s Commitment to Clean protocols.

As meetings and training are now allowed to take place, it is encouraging to see corporate and government inquiries coming in mainly for small-scale events. As the safety of our guests and associates remains our top priority, we’ve implemented strict protocols for hygiene and sanitising, reduced seating capacities to ensure social distancing can be maintained and offer options for less-contact or contactless service, customised to the needs of our clients.

We will continue to monitor and implement the SOPs as directed by the Malaysian Government to ensure that as we reopen, we are doing so safely and sustainably,” added Angela.

Meanwhile Four Seasons Hotel in Kuala Lumpur is also waiting for the government’s guideline to kick-start the social events at their hotel.
