The Ministry of Human Resources through PERKESO will provide Covid-19 self-test kit facilities under the Covid-19 Mass testing Program during the Recovery Phase for employers who perform screening tests for their employees. Human Resources Minister Datuk Seri M. Saravanan said employers who had not applied for the program could choose the type of test kit they wanted, either the Antigen Rapid Test Kit (RTK) which can be performed at the clinic or a self -test kit that could be administered at by the employees themselves. “Socso supplied RTK Antigen screening test kits to employers who carried out the Covid-19 screening process for their employees. To date, the agency has received 230,000 applications from employers to obtain the test kit (RTK Antigen). "Both types of test kits will be supplied to employers based on the number of employees who actively contribute to Socso," he added. Saravanan said the initiative was aimed at helping employers implement Covid-19 screening tests more easily and quickly. Through the program, he said employers were responsible for coordinating the implementation of the Covid-19 screening test with the clinic of their choice, apart from having to bear the cost of services for the screening test.
