Air Asia Retraining Pilots For More Flights

AirAsia has started retraining pilots in anticipation of the interstate opening of airways nationwide and is planning to reactive a number of aircraft in the process.

The Edge quoted an AirAsia spokesperson who said the company has started retraining pilots in anticipation of the opening.

The nationwide interstate ease was announced by Prime Minister Ismail Sabri yesterday during a Press Conference at the Perdana Putra Building.

Those who have completed their two doses of vaccination are still flying to Langkawi only as travel bans to the Island were lifted last September.

This has resulted in an increase in the reactivation of aircraft, which is expected to speed up in the coming months.

According to The Edge, should interstate travel be allowed AirAsia was looking to have 20 aircrafts ready for reactivation by Oct 10 (Sunday) and about another 10 more by Oct 20.
