Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Bhd appointed Dato Ahmad Nazim Abd Rahman as Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera and Encik Irfan Hashim as his Alternate Director with effect from on October 12, 2021.
Ahmad Nazim, 46, brings with him years of high-level experience in the corporate sector. Amongst the positions he held was CEO of Pelaburan MARA Bhd from 2013 to 2018, Director at National Bank of Abu Dhabi in Abu Dhabi and in Kuala Lumpur (2009 – 2012), and Associate at Norton Rose Fullbright LLP in London (2012-2013). He was also a Senior Associate at the Securities Commission from 2001 to 2008.
Nazim is a member of the Suruhanjaya Tenaga (Energy Commission) and the Chairman of its Economic Committee. In addition, he is on the Management Board of Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi (National Higher Education Fund Corporation).
He also sits on the Board Omnesti Bhd as an Independent/Non- Executive Director and Regulus Advisors Pte Ltd, Singapore as a Non-Executive Director. He holds a Master of Public Affairs from the prestigious Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) in Paris, France and a Master of Laws (LLM) from Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA as a J William Fullbright Scholar.
Irfan, 38, is an engineer by training but experienced in Corporate Finance with wide exposure to Private Equity investment. He is currently Head of Corporate Finance at LTAT and was an Assistant Vice President, Private Equity of Kumpulan Wang Persaraan from 2015 to 2019. He also served in the Corporate Finance Department of Permodalan Nasional Berhad from 2006 to 2014.
